Draft: based on one couple's experience and still being checked. Always confirm with the office.

  1. Submit the application to JPN Putrajaya.
  2. Submit the marriage registration application to the JPN office for the Malaysian spouse’s MyKad address. For this couple, that was Johor Bahru.
  3. The notice of marriage is displayed for at least 21 full days. It stays valid until 3 months have passed.
  4. The certificate for marriage is issued.
  5. Solemnisation and registration at the JPN office.
  6. Collect the marriage certificate.
  7. Take a clear photo of the couple holding the marriage certificate. Immigration needs it.

Dress code on solemnisation day: neat and decent. T-shirts, jeans, flip-flops and shorts are not allowed.
